Below we present the Privacy Policy in which we describe how WARBOOK sp. z o.o. with its seat in Ustroń (hereinafter referred to as the ‘PublishingHouse’ or ‘We’) processes your personal data in relation to your use of the services of the Publishing House, including the use of the Internet Bookshop on the website warbook.pl (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Bookshop’) or any other type of cooperation with the Publishing House. In the Privacy Policy, we also present information about the cookies we use on the warbook.pl website.

The Publisher has the right to update this Privacy Policy.

  1. Who is the Administrator of my personal data?

The Administrator of your personal data is WARBOOK sp. z o.o. with its seat in Ustroń, entered into the Register of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register kept by the District Court in Bielsko-Biała, VIII Commercial Division of the National Court Register, under KRS number: 0000477058, NIP: 5482664065, REGON: 243 367 459, share capital in the amount of 5000 PLN.

  1. What are the purposes and legal grounds for processing my personal data?

The Administrator processes your personal data

  • in order to perform contracts or in order to take action at your request prior to their conclusion (Art. 6(1)(b) RODO) - including the provision of electronic services and the conclusion and performance of contracts for the sale of Products,

  • in order to comply with a legal obligation incumbent on the Administrator (Article 6(1)(c) RODO) - including, but not limited to, settlement before tax authorities, the conduct of complaint proceedings,

  • when it is necessary for the purposes arising from the legitimate interests pursued by the Administrator (Article 6(1)(f) RODO) - among others, defence of claims, direct marketing, responding to enquiries.

  1. For how long is my personal data processed?

The duration of the processing of your personal data depends on the legal basis for the processing of such data. If the basis is:

  • performance of a contract - your personal data will be processed for the period necessary for the performance of the contract (e.g. use of your account in the Online Bookstore),

  • the Administrator's legal obligation - your personal data will be processed for the period required by law, in particular resulting from the obligation to keep accounting records,

  • legitimate legal interest of the Administrator - your personal data will be processed until you raise an objection, but no longer than 3 years from the end of the year in which your last contact with the Administrator took place.

In any case, the processing period of your personal data may be extended in case the processing is necessary to establish, assert or defend against possible claims, and after this period, only if and to the extent required by law.

After the end of the processing period, the personal data will be permanently deleted or anonymised.

  1. Who is the recipient of my personal data?

The recipients of your personal data are entities participating in the execution of the Order and other subcontractors of the Administrator, including but not limited to the Administrator's accounting services, the Administrator's legal advisors, the Administrator's employees and other persons cooperating with the Administrator on the basis other than a contract of employment.

  1. Is the provision of personal data voluntary? What are the consequences of my failure to provide personal data?

Providing personal data is voluntary, but it is necessary, inter alia, in order to set up an account in the Online Bookstore, to carry out Orders, to reply to complaints, to reply to enquiries addressed to the Administrator, to use the newsletter.

  1. Is my personal data processed by automated means?

No, the Administrator does not process personal data in an automated manner.

My rights

You have the following rights in relation to the processing of your personal data:

  • The rightto access your personal data - you have the right to ask Us, among other things, what personal data we process about you, the purposes for which we process your personal data, information about the categories of data processed, the recipients and the duration of storage of your data and your rights.

  • Right to rectification of your personaldata - you have the right to request us to correct the personal data we process if it is incomplete or incorrect.

  • Right torestrict processing - you have the right to request Us to restrict the processing of your personal data (except for storage operations and specific situations) due to, inter alia, you raising an effective objection or where there is processing of inaccurate personal data, for the period of verification by Us of its correctness.

  • Rightto object - You have the right to object to processing where your personal data is processed on the basis of the legitimate legal interest of the Controller (e.g. direct marketing).

  • Right todata portability - you have the right to ask Us to release your personal data, in a machine-readable format; you also have the right to send the data to another controller and request that We send it to you; you have this right if your personal data is processed on the basis of a contract or your consent.

  • Right to erasure (right to be forgotten) - you have the right to request the erasure of your personal data if it is processed unlawfully, the purposes for which it was collected have already been fulfilled or there is no legal basis for its processing.

  • Right to lodge acomplaint - you have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection (contact details available at:https://uodo.gov.pl/pl/p/kontakt).

The Administrator uses the following cookies, which we distinguish according to the following criteria:

  • On the basis of the length of time the cookie is placed on the user's terminal device - we use both cookies placed for the duration of the session (the time of use of the browser) and cookies that are not deleted when the browser is closed and remain on the user's device until the set time destined to expire or until you delete them yourself.

  • Due to the origin of the issuer - we use both our own cookies and external cookies from partners with whom we cooperate.

  • Due to the interference with your privacy - we mostly use ‘cookies’ needed to enable the functionality of the website, the use of which does not involve tracking you. In addition, we also use cookies to track user behaviour, but we do not collect information that identifies a specific user unless the user logs in to a customer account and the settings of the user's terminal equipment allow such identification.

Can I change my cookie settings or delete them?

You can change your cookie settings at any time, adjusting them to your expectations - specifying the conditions for storing and accessing cookies on your device through the settings of your web browser or through the configuration of the service, although blocking essential cookies (i.e. those enabling the functionality of the website) may make it difficult or even impossible to use the full functionality of the warbook.pl website and the Online Bookstore.
